Golden Eaglets defender, Yahaya Lawali is expected to link up with Spanish giants Barcelona in the coming days, DAILY POST reports.
The right-back featured in all of the Golden Eaglets’ four games at the ongoing 2023 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations in Algeria.
Lawali was named Man of the Match in Nigeria’s opening two games against Zambia and Morocco.
The 16-year-old was also included in the group stage Best X1 by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
DAILY POST learnt that top clubs in Belgium and France were also interested in Lawali but Barcelona has won the race.
The Mahanaim FC player can also play as a left-back and in midfield.
