Doma United head coach, Akinade Onigbinde says his side can’t focus too much on their defeat to Rivers United.
The Savannah Tigers’ quest to secure a place in the Nigeria Premier Football League Super Six playoff suffered a huge setback following their 2-0 defeat to Rivers United on Thursday.
Onigbinde’s side will now need to beat Abia Warriors on Sunday in Umuahia to be certain of qualification for the Super Six.
Fifth-placed Abia Warriors can also qualify for the competition with a win if Sunshine Stars fail to beat Dakkada in Akure.
Onigbinde posited they will focus on the game against Abia Warriors now and do their best to come out victorious.
“We will go back to the drawing board and make all the corrections on our weaknesses and prepare ourselves for the Abia Warriors game,” Onigbinde told the club’s media.
“It wasn’t the result we wanted but it is what it is. We can’t dwell on it, now we have to focus on our next game.”
