Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on Monday took the oath of office and allegiance for another four-year tenure and declared that his reelection for a second term is not because he is the most qualified but it is a divine mandate.

Mohammed alongside his deputy, Muhammad Auwal Jatau, took the oaths of office and allegiance as administered by the state Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi, the state capital.

Addressing the mammoth crowd that witnessed his second term inauguration, the governor declared that, “I accept this call to serve, not because I see myself as the most qualified but because it is a divine mandate over which I have no choice.”
