A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ogun State, Adekunle Ayoola, has lauded the appointment of the career diplomat, Ambassador Victor Adekunle Adeleke, as the new State Chief of Protocol (SCOP) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Ayoola, an international trade and security expert based in Poland, disclosed that the appointment of the seasoned diplomat only confirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government would be peopled by highly resourceful Nigerians who have what it takes to contribute meaningfully to the President’s agenda of renewed hope for the country.

He described Adeleke as an accomplished diplomat and lawyer with about 30 years of experience in diplomatic missions at home and abroad. He was the Nigerian ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union until his latest appointment.

Ayoola attested to the patriotism and love for humanity of the Oyo State-born diplomat, explaining that Nigerians in the diaspora, specifically Poland, where Adeleke once worked at the country’s foreign office, would confirm his favourable and cheerful disposition to the people.

“Ambassador Victor Adekunle Adeleke is undoubtedly an asset; he is a man of proven integrity and always willing to lend a helping hand. He is versatile in issues around governance; he had served meritoriously in higher capacities in the past and did excellently well.

“This cap truly fits him. I commend our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for always having his eyes on the best; I urge him to continue with this tradition and ensure that only those with great value to add to the country make his cabinet”, he stated.

DAILY POST reported that Tinubu made his first appointment on Monday after his inauguration.
