Chelsea legend, Frank Leboeuf, has doubts that Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic will be a starter at Manchester City if he joins the Premier League champions this summer.
Kovacic has been linked with a move to join Man City this summer.
His future at the west London club is in doubt amid a large number of players that will leave Chelsea this summer.
The Croatian international has a year left on his contract but could be one of many of Chelsea’s first-team members that will leave Stamford Bridge.
“If he goes to City, where is he going to play? Is he going to start over Rodri for example? No, I don’t think so,” Leboeuf told Si & Dan Talk Chelsea.
“Do you want to play 20 games a season at City or go to another team playing 50 games a season?”
He added, “I will be sad to see him leave. When he came from Real Madrid, he was not the player that he developed into at Chelsea a few years after. I have enjoyed seeing him play for Chelsea though. I think he fought for the club.”
