Spectranet, Nigeria’s ‘foremost Internet Service Provider’ has once again been rewarded for their achievements in the Nigerian telecom industry at this year’s rebranded Africa Beacon of ICT and Leadership Awards held at the Oriental Hotels, Lagos. The company received two awards for the “Best 4G LTE Internet Service Provider” and “Broadband Services Provider of the Year”

At the event which was attended by the leaders of the nation’s ICT industry, Ken Nwogbo, Editor in Chief and Chief Executive Officer Nigeria Communication Week stated that Spectranet emerged winner in the “Best 4G LTE Internet Provider of the Year and “Broadband Service Provider of the year” categories through the voting process that was concluded recently.

He further stated that, “this is a testament to Spectranet’s talents, innovations, contributions and commitments to the growth of the ICT industry and that Nigerians have recognized their hard work, sincerity and dedication towards development of ICT industry in Africa.

Speaking on the awards, Maneesh Kulshrestha, Chief Executive Officer of Spectranet said this award is for the subscribers that have stayed with Spectranet in the last ten years. “This July makes 10 amazing years of delivering 4GLTE service to Nigerians. Our loyal subscribers are the reason we have come this far and this support we would never take for granted. We appreciate every feedback about our service and we are committed to putting our best foot forward, ensuring customer satisfaction always”.

Speaking on Spectranet’s commitment to offering High Speed, Affordable and Reliable Internet, Mr. Kulshrestha added, “We are expanding to new states bringing high speed fibre internet to more Nigerian homes through our “Home Fiber” (FTTH) and “Fiber on Air” (WTTH) technologies. We are also focused on Positioning Spectranet as a prominent player in the Enterprise Business space. Offering specialized and customized Enterprises Business solutions across our coverage areas.

He described them as high quality ultra-broadband technologies that deliver reliable, high-speed, UNLIMITED DATA with a high degree of consistency than the mobile broadband. “…We have made huge financial and technical investments in line with our business philosophy of ensuring that our customers continue to have the best internet connection in their offices, homes, and on the go.” He concluded by thanking the organizers of the Africa BoICT Award, commending them as a responsible media house.

The award was received on behalf of Spectranet by the company’s representatives, Sumit Arora, Head of Enterprise; Raja Ramaswamy, Head of Sales; Jemimah Adalemo, Brand Communications Manager; Kazeem Aminu, Regional Sales Manager; and Prem Kumar, Head of Marketing.

The Africa BoICT Award was organized by the Nigeria Communication’s Week and has become one of the most prestigious annual awards in the nation’s ICT industry in the last 14 years. This year’s event was themed “Digital Transformation and Cloud Services as new order” The lecture was delivered by Dr. Krishnan Ranganath, Regional Executive at Africa Data Centres and Engineer. Olusola Teniola, National Coordinator for the Alliance for Affordable Internet.
