Rivers United midfielder, Joseph Onoja will make a return today against Bendel Insurance after recovering from injury.
Onoja picked up the injury during their entertaining 2-2 draw against Remo Stars on matchday two of the ongoing Nigeria Premier League Super Six playoffs.
Onoja failed to recover for the Pride of Rivers’ goalless draw against Sunshine Stars on Wednesday and he was replaced in the starting lineup by Chiamaka Madu.
According to the club’s media officer, Mayuku Charles, Onoja has recovered from the injury.
“Onoja was the only injured player in our team,” he told DAILY POST exclusively in Lagos.
“He has since recovered from the injury after he was stretchered off in the second half of our game against Remo Stars.
“He missed our last game against Sunshine Stars because of precautionary measures but he is fine and ready to feature today against Bendel Insurance.”
