Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has said he selected the four Nigeria Premier League players to fortify the team’s lack of depth.
Reigning NPL champions goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke, Rivers United goalie Victor Sochima, Ebube Duru and Bendel Insurance, wonder kid Divine Nwachukwu are the four Nigeria-based players invited to the team.
Peseiro admitted that though he might not have invited the best, he assured that the players invited would give formidable options to the team.
“I selected these four players majorly for specific positions in the team,” he told DAILY POST in Lagos.
“I know we still have better players in other teams that didn’t feature in the NPL Super Six playoff.
“But the players invited will definitely give the team options in different department.”
