Liverpool on Thursday night confirmed their retained list and departures, releasing 11 players.

In a post via their website, Liverpool confirmed that Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, James Milner, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, whose releases were already announced, including seven academy players, are being let go.

The seven academy players are midfielder Jack Bearne (aged 21), goalkeeper Liam Hughes (21), forward Iwan Roberts (18), defender Charlie Hayes-Green (18), goalkeeper Oscar Kelly (20), forward Fidel O’Rourke (21) and defender Oludare Olufunwa (21).

Meanwhile, Barcelona winger Raphinha has confirmed that he will play for the club next season amid reports linking him with a move away from Camp Nou this summer.

“I will continue at Barca next season and the one that comes, and the one that comes, I have many years of contract and I hope to fulfill those years and many more,” Raphinha told MD.

“Barcelona is a city that I love, Brazilians are very happy here. My first six months were difficult. It was a start to the season in which I scored few goals, few assists and did not have a direct role in the team.

“But then I began to adapt better, my teammates helped me a lot.”
