Malachi Ohawume has parted ways with Rivers United after the expiration of his contract.

Ohawume started his career with the Pride of Rivers in 2018.

The striker netted five goals in all competitions for the Pride of Rivers last season.

Ohawume fell in the pecking order at the club later in the campaign with Nyima Nwagua and Lukman Adefemi ahead of him.

He has been linked with a move abroad but Enyimba and Remo Stars have inquired about the service of the free-agent striker.

The desire for continental football might lure him to settle for nine-time NPL champions Enyimba or Remo Stars.
