Former Arsenal player, Paul Merson has ranked the five best transfers of the ongoing window.

Merson picked the likes of Christopher Nkunku, Alexis Mac Allister, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz and James Maddison as his five best transfers so far.

“As things stand, here are my five best signings in the Premier League so far,” he said.

Nkunku joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig this summer and Merson, cynical of the player’s ability to be in the Blues top nine, noted that the Frenchman has performed incredibly well for RB Leipzig over the past two seasons.

In fourth place in his list is Alexis Mac Allister who Liverpool signed from Brighton this summer

He described the Argentine as “Very simple and effective.”

Kai Havertz comes third in Merson’s list after the Germany international moved from Chelsea to Arsenal this summer.

He said the German could be a new weapon for Arsenal, saying Havertz is a good signing and he definitely improve Arsenal.

Mason Mount also moved to Manchester United from Chelsea this summer and Merson feels the England international will instantly make the Red Devils a better team.

According to Paul Merson, James Maddison is the best transfer so far this summer as he completed a move from relegated Leicester City to Tottenham Hotspur.

“Harry Kane could be the main beneficiary of James Maddison’s Tottenham transfer,” he said.
