Sean “Diddy” Combs has parted ways with Revolt, the media company he founded. Revolt is now employee-owned after Combs sold his majority stake. This comes as Combs faces multiple lawsuits alleging sexual assault.
Revolt CEO Detavio Samuels confirmed Combs is no longer involved with the company. He has no shares, no role on the board, and is completely separated from Revolt.
The company says this new ownership structure allows employees to share in Revolt’s success as the company moves forward. Revolt will reportedly remain Black-owned and operated.
Combs stepped down as Revolt chairman last November after facing sexual assault accusations from his ex-girlfriend and two other women. At the time, Revolt said Combs wasn’t involved in day-to-day operations.
Since then, the number of lawsuits against Combs has grown to eight. The lawsuits allege sexual assault, harassment, and sex trafficking.
