In this 30-minute interview, Adekunle shared his sickle cell journey and described how he has used his platform to raise awareness and support for others affected by the disease. The artiste who opened up about his sickle cell struggles on the record “5 Star” has become a sickle cell advocate. Gold has also provided safe spaces for individuals with the condition.
The interview marks Adekunle Gold’s first extensive public discussion about living with Sickle Cell Disease, offering viewers a deeper look into his personal and professional life. The interview was aired today at 8:30 a.m. on DSTV Channel 401. Viewers can watch it on Sunday at 4:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Monday at 4:00 a.m. The programme will also air next week.
