Grammy-nominated producer Andre Vibez has shared a remarkable story of his rise to success, revealing that he once charged a mere N500 as a production fee during his struggling days despite being the son of legendary musician Sir Victor Uwaifo. Andre Vibez stated that his journey to success was not easy, as he had to work hard to make a name for himself in the industry. According to him, he started producing music for people at a low cost, with the hope of making it big one day. However, he did not have the support of his father, who believed in letting him find his way.

Featuring in the third episode of the ‘Made By Us’ docuseries, Andre Vibez said:

“When I started music; producing for people, I started by charging N500.

“I had my expectations when I was starting out. My dad is not the kind of person who would hold your hand and say, this is who you should know. In fact, he never introduced me to anybody.”

Andre Vibez’s big break came when he met Don Jazzy, who eventually signed him to Mavin Records. This opportunity catapulted him to success, producing global Afrobeats hits like Rema and Selena Gomez’s ‘Calm Down’ and Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush’. His work on ‘Rush’ earned him a Grammy nomination for Best African Music Performance at the 2024 Grammys. Earlier this year, the music producer, splashed millions on a new house and G-Wagon.

In his heartfelt post, Andre Vibez reflected on the journey that led him to this moment. He emphasized that good things are often built on a solid foundation and that patience is key, stating that his new house and luxury car are a testament to years of hard work, dedication, and unwavering belief in himself. Andre Vibez credited his success to trusting the process, emphasizing that with a God-given talent and relentless determination, he navigated the music industry, overcoming challenges and setbacks.

According to him, the reward is sweeter because of the persistence and the positivity he maintained throughout his career.
