Nigerian alternative artiste, Odunsi the Engine, has announced the release of a new album. The artiste whose last LP, Rare was released in 2018, announced that his new album would be released on June 21, 2024. While announcing the album’s release date on his X page, Odunsi said, “Ok, clear road. New album, Friday”. While the artiste has not released a full-length project in a while, he has still been active in the music scene. He released the Denim EP in 2022 and he also produced “Jazz Up” off Lady Donli’s Pan African Rockstar album.

This year, the Nigerian music industry started on a low note with few artists releasing music. But it appears things are picking up as artists like Tems, Ayra Starr, Falz, Kaestyle, and many others are topping music charts with their newly released music. Odunsi will join Victony on several new music playlists as Victony also plans to release his debut album, “Stubborn” on Friday. The name of the album and the tracklist of Odunsi’s soon-to-be-released album have not been announced yet.
