Canadian rapper, Drake, has broken a new record on the global streaming app, Spotify. The Grammy-award-winning artiste has become the first artiste in history to surpass 100 billion streams on the streaming platform. According to the data published by music data and chart tracking platform Chart Data, Drake is the first artist in history to reach 100 billion streams across all credits as a lead artiste and a featured artiste on Spotify.
Apart from being the artiste with the highest streaming numbers, Drake was also announced as the second artist to have 15 songs with over a billion streams which is a record he shares with fellow Canadian artiste, Justin Bieber. Drake’s latest feat positions him as one of the biggest artists in the world.
