Afrobeat singer, Asake hinted at the possibility of changing his appearance, suggesting that his facial tattoos might be temporary.

Recall that the singer debuted a new look in 2024 by cutting off his dreadlocks and getting facial tattoos in 2025, setting the Internet abuzz.

In an interview with Billboard before the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, Asake hinted that the striking face tattoos might be a temporary expression of his artistic identity, capturing himself without copying the traits of others.

Asake indicated that he has limited control over his facial tattoos by saying that he can choose to have them removed at any time.

Online responses have been triggered by the singer’s Yoruba accent throughout the interview, with many people claiming that the Asake was having trouble speaking English.
