United States Vice President JD Vance has sent out a message after he and his wife, Usha, met with Pope Francis on Easter Sunday.
In a brief statement via his X account on Friday, VP Vance expressed his gratitude for the meeting with the Pope.
Vance then wished Pope Francis good health.
“Today I met with the Holy Father Pope Francis. I am grateful for his invitation to meet, and I pray for his good health. Happy Easter!” he wrote on X.
This development comes as Christian faithful across the globe celebrate this year’s Easter.
Earlier, the pontiff, in his Easter message, called for better treatment of migrants and other vulnerable and marginalised people and urged a “just and lasting peace” in Ukraine, according to a statement from the Vatican.
