The Abia State Government has assured investors and the diaspora community that the state is open and safe for them.

The assurance was given by the Executive Secretary of the Abia State Diaspora Commission, Rev. Annie Onu, during an interactive meeting with members of Nzuko Ndi Abia N’ Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom.

She emphasised the resolve of the administration of Governor Alex Otti to explore and identify key areas of collaboration that will yield mutual benefits for the state and its diaspora community.

Onu explained that security, infrastructure, education, and other areas of development have been prioritised by the state government.

She informed the diaspora community that security has improved across the Abia landscape, urging them to come home and invest, and adding that the image of Abia State has improved.

Speaking earlier, the chairman of Nzuko Ndi Abia N’ Aberdeen, Ugochukwu Iheukwumere, expressed gratitude to Governor Otti for improving the image of the state and reaffirmed the association’s support for the government’s efforts.
