An unknown Nigerian lady recently shared her heartbreaking experience she had with marriage.
She is married to a man who currently resides abroad while she is in Nigeria, and has come to learn that her husband has been leading a double life in America.
All his male friends she initially thought were his companions have turned out to be romantic partners of her husband, and she has come to realize that her husband is also gay.
Some social media commentator and content creator, Solomon Buchi, shared the DM he received from a married woman on the internet.
There, she revealed that she was deceived into her marriage and now sought public advice on what measures to take from a Christian perspective.
In his Words;
“A married woman is in my DMs crying because she ignorantly married to a gay man.
She just discovered that all is male friends are is gay partner.
They have kids together and doesn’t give a care about them.
He’s currently in America while she’s in Nigeria.
From a Christian perspective, what should she do?. “
Many social media users shared their advice, saying that the scripture encourages believers to forgive, but forgiving does not always mean to continue in a deceitful union.
In a situation where the marital bond is built on lies and one’s partner is unrepentant, living in a way that undermines the marriage, separation may be the best biblical option.
It is done not on the ground of vengeance but to protect her dignity and restore peace to her inner being; “Matthew 19:9 – I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sextual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery NIV”.
Some encouraged her to pray and not to go through this phase alone; the church, which is the body of Christ, is called to bear one another’s burdens, and having the support of a trusted and godly Christian counselor can also help her through the emotional process, discerning her next steps.
While others commend her for taking the bold step to speak up, and that her children’s emotional and spiritual well-being should be prioritized. They need the truth, stability, and love from their parents.

@tairawinnie32: PRAYER WORKS! There is a woman in the Bible that kept going to a wicked judge over and over because of her constancy the judge helped her same thing there hard situations in life that need fervent prayer.. prayer until the situation changes because prayer works..! Trust God!
@houseofadaeze: Which one is from a Christian perspective? Oya nau keep praying him , he will change and accept Christ someday.
@biggdolphin: Since she was deceived into the marriage then the marriage is null and void it’s a ground for divorce. Let her walk away and seek divorce.
@officialjioke: Is there another strong word for FLEE? use it nwata nwanyi.
@the.first_airbender: From a Christian perspective and in the voice of Jesus… She shouldn’t even still be in such a marriage. People keep forgetting that even Jesus is in support of divorce on the grounds of infidelity (matt 19). This one is now gay infidelity?!
