Flying Eagles defenders, Daniel Bameyi and Odinaka Okoro have been included in the official Best XI of the group stage at the ongoing 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

The selection was made by the Confederation of African Football, CAF, technical study group of the competition.

Centre-back Bameyi, has been one of Nigeria’s outstanding performers in Egypt.

The captain was named Man of the Match in the Flying Eagles 0-0 draw against Morocco.

Okoro has been a rock for Aliyu Zubairu’s side in the defence.

The left-back has caught the eye with his defensive prowess and superb attacking play.

He has already registered one assist in the competition.

Nigerian will be in action in a quarter-final fixture against Senegal at the Suez Canal Stadium, Ismailia on Monday.
