Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly seeking to become the highest-paid player at Manchester United should he complete a summer transfer to the club.

According to GiveMeSport, the Nigeria international is demanding a weekly salary of approximately £413,000, matching his current earnings at Napoli.

This figure would exceed the wages of Manchester United’s current top earners, including captain Bruno Fernandes.

Manchester United are currently undergoing a financial restructuring under the ownership of INEOS.

INEOS are intent on reducing the club’s wage bill, and Osimhen’s potential arrival at Old Trafford could reportedly result in the redundancy of hundreds of employees.

Nevertheless, despite the financial implications, Osimhen remains a key target for Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim.

Amorim is eager to strengthen United’s attacking options following a disappointing Premier League campaign.

The club are reportedly prepared to meet Napoli’s valuation of approximately £62 million for the forward.

Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli and has scored 33 goals in all competitions for the Turkish giants this season.

The 26-year-old forward is expected to leave Galatasaray when his loan spell concludes at the end of the season and has been linked with several top European clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Juventus, and Manchester United.
