Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA) paid a courtesy visit to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State at the Government House in Yola on Tuesday.

This visit forms part of the ongoing efforts to bolster collaboration between the federal and state governments in addressing security challenges and improving intelligence sharing.

Accompanying the NSA were high-ranking commanders from various security agencies, underscoring the importance of the visit and the commitment of the federal government to ensuring security across the country.

During the meeting, discussions primarily focused on strengthening the security framework of Adamawa State, with an emphasis on fostering better coordination in tackling emerging threats.

Both the NSA and Governor Fintiri deliberated on enhancing the state’s security infrastructure and aligning it with national objectives.

Governor Fintiri welcomed the NSA and his delegation, expressing appreciation for the federal government’s continued support. He reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and stability in Adamawa, emphasizing that security remains a top priority.

This visit is seen as a significant step in reinforcing inter-agency cooperation, ensuring that state-level security measures align with broader national security strategies.

The move is aimed at improving the responsiveness and effectiveness of security forces in addressing current and future challenges within the state.
