West Brom have confirmed that Super Eagles centre-back Semi Ajayi is among the list of players to leave the club at the end of their contracts next month.

The English club disclosed this on Tuesday while confirming their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.

The Championship side also gave new contracts to three forwards of Nigerian descent – Dan Chimeziri, Eseosa Sule and Divine Onyemachi at the club’s academy level.

However, with the latest development, means that Ajayi’s time at West Brom comes to an end after an injury-hit season.

He had missed 29 Championship matches for the Baggies as a result of injury.

The 31-year-old joined the Championship club from Rotherham United back in 2019 and made over 177 appearances for the club.

Ajayi netted 13 goals during his time at West Brom with memorable goals against Liverpool and Wolves, respectively in the Premier League.

It’s yet to be seen which club the Nigeria international will end up joining this summer transfer window.
