European Union foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas has revealed that diplomacy is the solution to stop the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.

Speaking on Tuesday, Kallas insisted that the European Union will play its part amid the war between both countries.

She added that the fight has raised the risk of wider conflict in the region.

Kallas said on Sky News that “Over the past five days, Israel and Iran have traded attacks and this has raised the risk of wider conflict in the region.

“Diplomacy is the solution to prevent this and the EU will play its part.

“We cannot be lenient when Iran accelerates its nuclear programme.”

Last week, Iran and Israel renewed their hostilities through deadly attacks and counter-attacks.

Israel had on Thursday attacked the site of Iran’s nuclear facilities.

But the Islamic Republic responded on Friday and early hours of Saturday by launching different missile into Israel, leading to a lot of deaths.

On Sunday, Israel’s Home Front Command cautioned the citizens to avoid gathering and minimised movement in public spaces in the country amid its ongoing conflict with Iran.
