Fenerbahçe have made a move for Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, whom Galatasaray wanted to keep in their team this summer.
According to Ekol Sports, Fenerbahçe has stepped in for Osimhen as their club’s president Ali Koç made the highest offer to Napoli for the player’s signature.
While Galatasaray made offers to Osimhen and Napoli, they waited for the Super Eagles star’s decision.
Osimhen spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and helped them to win both the Turkish Cup and the Turkish Super Lig title.
The Nigeria international has not decided the club he will play for next season and he is currently on summer holiday.
The former African Player of the Year has attracted interest from Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Juventus, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Al Hilal.
Meanwhile, Osimhen’s priority is to join Galatasaray on a permanent transfer if a move to a top European club fails this summer transfer window.
