Super Eagles forwards Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi top the list of retained players by Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL side, Kano Pillars, for the 2025–26 season.

Sai Masu Gida captain, Rabiu Ali, is also expected to continue with the club.

Other retained players include Muttaka Musa, Abdullahi Abubakar, Fahad Usman, Dawud Ibrahim, Abdullahi Ali, Yusuf Bala Maigoro, Naziru Auwalu Ibrahim, Aminu Adam Sani, Habibu Yakubu, Mustapha Umar, and Ibrahim Sani Halliru.

Also listed are goalkeeper Jerry Alex, Umar Sani Yakasai, Auwal Ali Malam, Imran Ahmad, Sudais Ali Baba, Zaharadeen Bello, Shehu Abdullahi, Yusuf Abdullahi, Bright Emmanuel, Ibrahim Inuwa, and Mubarak Lawal.

In addition, several promising developmental players—Jibrin Yusuf, Aminu Muhammed, Mustapha Muhammed, and Muhammad Usman—will join the senior squad as part of the club’s vision to blend experience with youthful talent.

The retained players are expected to report for the first training session at the club’s training ground in Kano next week.

Kano Pillars made the announcement in a statement on Saturday.

DAILY POST reports that Kano Pillars are currently in search of a new coach following the resignation of Usman Abdallah as the club’s technical adviser.
