Nigeria’s Super Falcons thrashed their eternal rivals Black Queens of Ghana 3-0 in friendly in Casablanca on Sunday.

Ghana had the first chance of the game in the 17th minute but Doris Boaduwaa’s low drive failed to hit target.

Chiwendu Ihezuo opened scoring for Nigeria four minutes after the half hour mark through a deflected effort.

The Super Falcons were awarded a penalty one minute before the break, which was expertly converted by Asisat Oshoala.

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade added the third with a cool finish five minutes after the break.

Ghana forward Evelyn Badu had a goal ruled out for offside in the 55th minute.

Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu made a triple substitution in the 56th minute with Ifeoma Onumonu, Sikiratu Isah, and Esther Okoronkwo replacing Oshoala, Osinachi Ohale, and Ihezuo.

Nigeria had more chances but failed to increase their advantage.

Ghana got one back two minutes from time courtesy of Alice Kusi from the spot.

The West Africans will now shift attention to their opening fixture at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations against Tunisia next week Sunday.
