A man, identified as Limam Muhammad Baba, has been arrested for allegedly killing his biological father, Malam Baba Siti, during a heated argument in Uzum Village, Giade Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

The incident, which occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, was reported by security analyst Zagazola Makama in a post on X on Friday.

According to the post, an argument broke out between Limam and his father, which led to Limam hitting him on the head with a stick.

“The victim collapsed on the spot and lost consciousness,” Makama wrote.

Makama revealed that police sources confirmed that the case was reported at the Giade Divisional Police Headquarters at about 10:30 p.m.

“A team of officers was quickly sent to the scene, where the suspect was arrested and the victim rushed to the General Hospital in Giade.

“Sadly, a medical doctor at the hospital confirmed that Malam Baba Siti was dead on arrival. His body was later deposited at the hospital morgue,” Makama added.

The police said an investigation is ongoing and assured that the suspect will be charged to court once the investigation is complete.
