Asisat Oshoala has expressed her desire to help the Super Falcons win the title at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Oshoala will be making her fifth WAFCON appearance in Morocco.

The 30-year-old has previously won the competition three times with the team.

The Bay FC striker made just one appearance due to injury as the Super Falcons surrendered their crown to South Africa at the previous edition, also hosted by Morocco.

Oshoala is back in the squad after more than a year’s absence.

She declared her intention to help the Super Falcons reclaim the title this time around.

“For me personally, I want to score goals, it’s what I love to do,” Oshoala told NFF TV.

“It’s been a while since I’ve played with the national team because there’s so many things going on in my personal life. But wherever I’m here, on the pitch, and help my teammates gain the three points in each game we play.”

The Super Falcons will open their WAFCON 2024 finals campaign against Tunisia in Casablanca on Sunday.

The tournament will kick off on Saturday, with hosts Morocco and Zambia doing battle in Rabat.

The WAFCON 2024 finals will run from Saturday, July 5 to Saturday, July 26.
