Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has dismissed the newly formed opposition coalition led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), saying the group is made up of familiar politicians with no fresh ideas or solutions for the country.

According to him, the group is filled with politicians who are only angry because they no longer hold power.

Speaking during an interview on Sunrise Daily, a programme on Channels Television, Radda said the coalition lacks credibility and has nothing new to offer Nigerians.

“Let’s be realistic. Let’s tell ourselves the truth. The time for deceiving Nigerians is over,” he said.

Radda questioned the integrity of the coalition leaders, suggesting that most of them were part of the previous government and failed to bring about meaningful change.

“Who was not in the government in the last regime? Who is not in government? We know the track record of everyone. They are now crying and shouting because they are outside of the government.”

Radda challenged them to clearly explain how they plan to govern the country differently.

“Let them come and tell Nigerians, are they going to bring the subsidy back? And with what resources are they going to run the government and pay for it?” he asked.

Recall that The ADC-led coalition recently appointed former Senate President David Mark as its interim chairman, with former Minister of Interior Rauf Aregbesola as secretary, and Bolaji Abdullahi as spokesperson.
