This was contained in a statement by his spokesperson Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa in Kano on Thursday.

DAILY POST reports that Sani, a medical doctor and policy expert, brings over four decades of distinguished public service to the new role.

“His appointment is a testament to his commitment to public service and professional excellence. With a strong background in health policy, civil service reform, and social development.

“He is well-positioned to support the governor in strengthening governance and service delivery in Kano State,” the statement said.

In a related development, the governor also appointed Retired Maj.- Gen. Mohammed Sani as the new Director-General of Special Services at the Government House, Kano.

“Sani is highly decorated retired infantry officer with over 35 years of service in the Nigerian Army.

“He brings a wealth of experience in peacekeeping, conflict resolution, and national security operations,” the statement added.
