The Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, has reacted to the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a condolence message signed by its National Secretary, Chief Peter Ameh, CUPP noted that every living soul shall be touched by the cold hands of death.

“[We] express our profound sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari. Having led Nigeria as Military Head of State from 1983 to 1985 and as a two-term president from 2015 to 2023, his tenure is part of our nation’s history of leadership.

“Despite our differences as opposition, we acknowledge his service to Nigeria and the challenges he faced in leadership.

“To his cherished family and all Nigerians, we extend our heartfelt condolences in this moment of grief. May the soul of Former President @MBuhari rest in peace. Amin.

“This loss serves as a source of sober reflection for all leaders. We urge those in office to use their time to provide basic necessities, such as qualitative healthcare facilities, to improve the lives of Nigeria’s citizens.

“May our time on Earth be dedicated to benefiting humanity, especially when blessed with abundant goodwill,” CUPP stated.
