British broadcaster, Piers Morgan, has suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo would have helped Arsenal win the Premier League title this season if the Gunners had signed him in the January transfer window.
Ronaldo had a dramatic exit from Old Trafford a few months ago after falling out with manager Erik ten Hag and being outcast from the Man United squad.
The 38-year-old eventually joined Saudi Arabian giants Al-Nassr, where he has managed to score 12 goals from 13 matches since joining the club.
In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Tuesday, Morgan, a passionate Arsenal fan, tweeted: “ “Mock all you like, but if we’d signed Ronaldo when he left United, until the end of the season – as he was keen to do btw – we would have won the League.
“He knows how to win major trophies, and how to score goals when it really matters.”
Arsenal are set to lose the Premier League title to Man City, who need just three points from their remaining three matches to be crowned champions for the third time in a row.
