Each member of the Flying Eagles squad will become an owner of a five-metre square plot of land in Abuja if the team emerges champions at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.

Aliyu Oroje Wammako, an ardent football fan and president of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria made the promise when he visited the players at their Hyatt Park Hotel base in Mendoza.

Wammako also assured the players and their officials that they will be handsomely rewarded even if they win the competition.

The Flying Eagles started their campaign on a winning note, edging out the Dominican Republic 2-1 on Sunday.

Ladan Bosso’s charges will take on Italy later tonight in their second game.

A win or draw from the game will guarantee them a place in and Round of 16.

The Nigerian boys will take on Brazil in their final group game on Saturday.

The Flying Eagles have made it to the finals of the competition twice in the past.
