“I can’t wait to change my daughter’s last name as I play the role of Mom and Dad” – Sophia Momodu

Nigerian businesswoman and mother of singer, Davido‘s first child, Imade, Sophia Momodu has revealed her eager anticipation to change her daughter’s last name.

The celebrity mum revealed this during a chat with some of her fans on Snapchat Monday evening, where she stated that she has been playing the role of mom and dad to Imade.

Following her statement, a couple of her fans warned her about people dragging her for her comment and taking it out of context, so when she was asked to write with caution, Sophia said “our elders say the truth is bitter. I haven’t even started”

Netizens recently took to social media to criticize Sophia for taking Imade swimming.

A video of the 8-year-old enjoying a swim with her peers, while her mother filmed, has been making the rounds online and has elicited a barrage of unexpected reactions.

In the video, the mother of one can be heard cheering her daughter on in the background as she swims perfectly.

Surprisingly, the adorable video didn’t sit well with some social media users who had a lot to say about it.

Some suggested that since one of Davido’s children, Ifeanyi, drowned in a pool in October last year, he probably wouldn’t be comfortable seeing Imade in a swimming pool. Read more about it here
