The Police Command in Gombe State has finally busted three suspects who specialsed in stealing goats.

They are part of a syndicate that carries out the act in Malam Inna and Wuro Kesa communities of Gombe Local Government Area.

A statement on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Abubakar, confirmed the arrest.

The spokesperson said the gang uses tricycles to steal goats from different locations and sell the animals to make money.

Their luck expired when police operatives, acting on an intelligence report, swooped on them in their various hideouts.

The suspects are Abdulaziz Abubakar, 20, Abdullahi Shuaibu, aka Dealer, 25, and Hassan Adamu, 18.

“The case will soon be charged to court for prosecution. Exhibits recovered include one tricycle and one goat,” Abubakar noted.

The PPRO also announced the arrest of 12 other suspects for criminal conspiracy, theft and armed robbery.

One stabiliser, Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, six mobile phones, wrappers, sharp cutlasses, one MP3 player and two knives were recovered.
