Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has spoken with Chelsea’s Kai Havertz about what his role in the team would be if a transfer went through.
The Gunners already had an offer for Havertz rejected but are expected to submit a second bid imminently.
According to ESPN, Arteta has told Havertz he can play in several positions at the Emirates, including No. 8, No. 10, in the two wide attacking positions, and in a central striker role.
It is believed that Havertz’s versatility is seen as a “big attraction” for Arteta.
Arteta will be seeking to improve his side’s second-place finish in the Premier League last season.
