A Nigerian clergyman, Aniekan Essien, and his wife have welcomed their first child, a baby boy, after 15 years of waiting.
The Akwa-Ibom based couple, who recently welcomed their bundle of joy after over a decade of marriage and fervent prayers for the fruit of the womb, dedicated their baby in church on Sunday, June 25.
Sharing the good news on Facebook, the MC for the event wrote,
“WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOESN’T EXIST. 15 years of childlessness have come to an end. 15 years of name-calling have turned into praises. 15 years of mockery and humiliation have ceased.”
“I pray for every woman or man believing in God for this testimony this year, YOUR TIME IS NOW. Congratulations because soon we shall dance with you. Congratulations Pastor/Mrs. Aniekan Essien.”

In related news, a Nigerian pastor, Rev. Dr. Wisdom Asefole, and his wife, Ufuoma, welcomed a set of triplets, three daughters after 23 years of marriage.
Rev. Asefole is the General-Overseer of the Chariot of God’s Fire and Healing Church in Ofor-Udu, Delta State.
On March 2, 2023, friends and churchgoers took to Facebook to celebrate the wonderful story and congratulate the new parents.
