New Arsenal signing, Kai Havertz, has now become the club’s top earner on a reported £330,000-per-week salary, according to German outlet Bild.

Havertz’s salary could get even higher when bonuses are factored in, making him the club’s highest earner since Mesut Ozil.

He recently joined Arsenal from Chelsea on a long-term contract.

The 24-year-old completed a £65 million move to the North London club a few days ago.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes the Germany international can be a key player for the Gunners next season despite a somewhat lacklustre campaign for Chelsea last season.

The report added that Thomas Partey had been Arsenal’s highest earner on just under £ 200,000 a week – sitting apart from the rest of the squad – though new deals for stars like Bukayo Saka had brought more players in line with that figure.
