Lobi Stars have concluded plans to float a female team.
The Vice Chairman of the Makurdi based-outfit, Dominic Iorfa, disclosed this on a radio Benue programme on Friday.
Iorfa said measures were being put in place to rename Honey Bajars FC as Lobi Stars Queen in order to secure the rights of a female team as directed by the Nigeria Premier League boards.
He however stressed that a talent discovery programme will be carried out across Benue State to identify players for different age grades ahead of future NPL/LaLiga engagement.
“We will organise a talent hunt for both boys and girls across the state in order to present an opportunity to embrace and pursue a career in different categories of Under 13, 14, and 15 level,” he stated on a radio programme monitored by DAILY POST.
“The boys would be trained rigorously to participate in the NPFL Laliga programmes while the girls would be nurtured for Lobi Stars Queens.
“Measures to take over a female team in the state known as Honey Bajars to be named as Lobi Stars Queens are underway to secure the rights of the female team,” he said.
