SportsNation Uganda, one of the fastest-growing sports websites in the country, is expanding even further. With new journalists joining the team and more sports now being covered, the platform is working hard to become Uganda’s number one sports news source.

The journey began with Brian Kawalya, an IT graduate who followed his love for sports instead of a traditional tech career. In 2019, he launched what is now a trusted and growing digital newsroom, visited daily by thousands of fans.

Today, SportsNation Uganda covers a wide range of sports including football, rugby, basketball, boxing, athletics, cricket, and much more. The team reports on national leagues, school tournaments, and community games, offering detailed updates, match results, and human-interest stories.

“We want every sports fan in Uganda to feel included,” said Brian Kawalya, founder and editor-in-chief. “Whether you’re in Kampala or a village in the north, your sport and your story matter.”

Over the past few months, the website has responded to reader feedback by adding more voices to its team and expanding coverage across the country. Many fans also asked for predictions and analysis around popular matches, and now the site quietly includes daily football betting tips for readers looking for expert insight—always shared responsibly and with a focus on the game itself.

With the recent team expansion, SportsNation Uganda now includes more writers, photographers, and editors from different parts of the country. This allows the platform to deliver broader and faster coverage of Uganda’s sports scene—something fans had been asking for.

More importantly, the site gives attention to athletes and teams who don’t usually make it to big TV stations or major newspapers. Whether it’s a secondary school footballer or a community cricket team, SportsNation is there to share their story.

Brian’s journey also continues to inspire many young Ugandans. By leaving a path in IT and chasing his dream, he not only built a growing company, but also created opportunities for other young sports journalists to grow.
