Onyebuchi Ememanka, former Chief Press Secretary to ex-Abia governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has joined the Labour Party, LP, after his visit to Governor Alex Otti.
This is coming a few days after he announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Ememanka, who was a stern critic of Governor Alex Otti until last week, was also a strong defender and image maker of Ikpeazu.
He continued to serve Ikpeazu as his spokesperson after the former governor left office.
In a post on his official Facebook page on Monday, Ememanka said he took the decision to join the LP after series of meetings, consultations and deep personal meditation.
He added that he was convinced that he took the right decision.
“At a point in life, a man has got to make a choice, even when the options are tough. A time to speak the truth to yourself. That is the true definition of manhood.
“I have chosen to put Abia first and choose her sustainable development, above every other consideration.
I have chosen Otti. I have chosen Labour Party.
“My name is Sir Onyebuchi Ememanka,” he wrote.
DAILY POST recalls that the member representing Ugwunagbo constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Chijioke Uruakpa, defected to LP from PDP on Sunday.
