Morocco will take on South Africa in the final of this year’s U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Morocco booked their spot thanks to a slim 1-0 win over Egypt.
Substitute Jones El Abdellaoui scored the winning goal in the 77th minute of the game.
El Abdellaoui latched onto a cross from Ismaël Aouad, to calmly slot home for the Young Atlas Lions.
Morocco will go head-to-head with South Africa, who earlier edged Nigeria 1-0 in Thursday’s first semi-final.
A well-taken header by Tylon Smith in the 66th minute settled the very intense clash.
The result ends the Flying Eaglets’ hopes of winning a record-extending eighth U-20 AFCON title.
They will now take on the hosts in the third-place match for the bronze medal.
