Fati Vázquez, an influencer reportedly linked with Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal, has revealed that she has been subjected to alarming death threats.
The 30-year-old caused rumours of a romantic relationship after she reportedly spent a weekend with Yamal.
Photos posted on Instagram by both Vázquez and Yamal, three days apart and verified by Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, appeared to show them on holiday in the same picturesque location.
Yamal posted photos of himself on a boat with a rocky backdrop and by an infinity pool featuring a distinctive tree and canopy.
Shortly after, Vázquez shared her own photos taken from different angles, including scenes of her on a boat and at the same infinity pool.
After the jigsaw identification of the photos, fans speculated over a potential romance between Vázquez and Yamal.
However, Vázquez has now addressed the situation on her Instagram on Tuesday.
She expressed sadness over the threats she has received since the rumours emerged.
“It’s sad to see people who have such darkness inside that they wish death on someone they don’t even know,” she wrote.
“What others project, speaks more about them than me. I choose to live with the purpose of continuing to grow and surrounding myself with light.
“To those who wish me ill, I wish them healing, because nobody who is well in themselves wishes the destruction of another.”
