The Chief Security Officer, CSO, of Ahoada East Local Government Area in Rivers State, Hector Ekakita, has revealed those he claimed were behind the recent attack on the local government administrator, Goodluck Iheamnacho.

DAILY POST recalls that Iheamnacho reportedly resigned his appointment after a letter of resignation, purportedly signed by him, surfaced on social media.

However, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Olugbenga Adepoju, on Sunday summoned both the CSO and Chief of Staff to the administrator over the incident.

The police, while condemning the alleged assault captured in a viral video, described it as the handiwork of hoodlums allegedly led by officials working under the LG administrator, pointing fingers at the CSO and the Chief of Staff.

Addressing the matter on Monday, Hector Ekakita, who spoke with Channels TV, denied the allegation, saying there is no way he would “venture into carrying hoodlums to go and attack the man that I’m working with.”

He said he was not among those who allegedly attacked the administrator, stressing that he “was never found in the video.”

“The only thing that happened, according to the video if you watch it, is that when I heard a voice from my office, I barged in, but I was asked to shut the door that the matter was between the sole administrator and his political appointees that he did not pay in the month of May.

“I didn’t make any video nor did I carry any hoodlums to attack him,” he said.
