Tension was high in Sheshi Dama, a community in Bida Local Government Area of Niger State, after two brothers were brutally attacked in the early hours of Thursday, July 10, leaving one of them with a severed hand. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited said the state-owned oil firm would continue to supply crude oil to Dangote Refinery on a commercially willing buyer and willing seller basis. The naira returned to depreciation against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Friday to end the week on a negative note. According to the Central Bank of Nigeria’s exchange data, the naira weakened to N1,530.26 per dollar on Friday from N1,525.98 on Thursday. The Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Company, Bayo Ojulari, has said the technologies brought in to rehabilitate Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna refineries did not work as expected.
