The management of Abia State University, Uturu, has said that the school is safe, peaceful, and conducive for students of the institution. The victim was abducted Sunday morning in Lafiagi at about 1:00 a.m., allegedly by suspected Fulani bandits, who reportedly overwhelmed local vigilantes at the scene of the crime with their superior firepower and motorcycles. Security operatives have rescued 13 abducted Benue Links passengers. DAILY POST reports that the passengers were abducted at Eke in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State. The Chairman of the Local Government Area, Adah Inalegwu, confirmed the rescue of the abductees on Sunday.
