Bayern Munich Ladies have announced the signing of Nigerian striker Edna Imade, DAILY POST reports. Imade joins the Bavarian side from Spanish Liga F outfit, Granada. The 24-year-old has signed a contract running until June 30, 2029. However, the striker will be loaned out to Spanish club Real Sociedad for the 2025–26 season. Imade finished as the second-highest scorer in the Spanish league last season, netting 16 goals in 29 appearances. She was also included in the La Liga Women Team of the Season.

The Nigeria Police Force says it has arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a 33-year-old Chinese national, Mr. Chen Wang, an employee of WH Great Resource Ltd., Ogere, Ogun State. The expatriate was stabbed to death on Sunday, January 12, 2025, in his office. Former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has arrived in Daura, Katsina State, ahead of the burial of late former President Muhammadu Buhari. His arrival comes hours after Buhari’s body departed London aboard a Nigerian Air Force aircraft. The former President died on Sunday in a London hospital after a prolonged illness. Buhari will be laid to rest later today with full state honours at his private residence in Daura, his hometown.
